The realization of something we can not see through sight is yet none the less real.

Seeing Through Hearing: an ongoing immersive multiplatform project is focused on documenting the stories of people who are blind and visually impaired, creating interactive and immersive story content with and for people who are blind and developing immersive sound walks.

Throughout the stories, it is my intention to illuminate the meaning of seeing through hearing via audio stories that include immersive sound recordings.

The immersive audio stories are created by the use of binaural and ambisonic microphone recordings mixed with interviews that are recorded with directional microphones.

For this current and ongoing project I’m using binaural and spatial audio recordings and interviews to document the way blind people perceive their world and how we truly hear things in our everyday lives.
